Service to Servants
For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as
Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake

Current Container - 100% Full
  • 05/14/12 - This container has been booked and was supposed to be loaded on
05/05/12.  The steam line didn't have any empty containers for us to use, so the
booking was rolled to the following week.  We still have been unable to acquire an
empty container to this date.  We hope to have this shipment out very soon.  We are
    checking for empty containers daily
  • If you have unpaid shipping invoices, we need your payment at this time.

  • 11/09/10 Arrived Monrovia - Robert will be calling recipients once this container is
    cleared and released
  • 12/13/10 Container is being inspected and should be out any day now.
  • 12/17/10 As many of you know, the port is gearing up for some major changes.
Evidently, the current port workers are not happy about the changes and they have
basically gone on strike.  We have had delays from a dockworker strike in France
several times in the past, but I never expected a strike in Monrovia
  • 12/20/10 - The strike is over and the port employees are back at work.  Our
container is still on the ground and waiting to be loaded on to a chassis.  As soon as
it is loaded it heads to BIVAC for inspection.  Please pray that our container will be
released by Christmas!  There are many gifts for many orphans aboard.
  • 12/24/10 Unloaded and Distributed - Thank you Robert!
  • Overall transit time: 85 days

07/08/10 Container # PONU8128797
  • 07/08/10 - Delivered to railroad for transport to the port
  • 324 Packages - 7 Shippers - 7 Recipients
  • Expected Route:  Savannah/Algeciras/Monrovia
  • 08/06/10 - rolled again - Customs has not released this cargo - U.S. Customs will not
tell us why this is being held
  • 08/11/10 - The container has been released from US Customs.  They would never
tell us why the container was being held, but we suspect it was a random inspection
due to Liberia's history of forwarding smuggled goods to other countries
  • 08/13/10 - STS has just learned that we are required to pay $505 for the inspection
by US Customs.  The container passed their inspection, but we still have to pay for
the inspection.  We have learned to accept these type things from the Liberian
government, but we never expected anything like this from our own government.
  • 08/2010 - Departed Savannah
  • 09/02/10 - Arrived in Spain
  • 09/29/10 Container arrived in Monrovia (must be cleared afterwards - please do not
call for the status - STS will call when we know when the container will be unloaded -
status updates will be posted here when available)
  • 10/01/01 - Clearing process going well - no problems as of yet
  • 10/23/10 - STS finally received the duty invoice from the Minister of Finance - STS
paid the duty and clearing fees - container should be coming out soon
  • STS was required to pay full duty on the two vehicles aboard this container -
  • The MOF charged 19% duty on the vehicles rather than the normal 11% despite our
    duty-free status
  • 10/26/10 Container should be loaded on to a chassis and carried for a BIVAC
inspection today- container should be released tomorrow if inspection goes well -
please join us in prayer that the inspection goes well with no damage to the vehicles
and no cargo stolen or held ransom
  • 10/27/10 - BIVAC was backed up and didn't get to our container today - hopefull it
    will be out tomorrow
  • 10/29/10 Unloaded and Distributed - Praise! There were no items held or any
reported damages to either vehicle or other cargo!  Thank you for your prayers!
Thank you Robert for all of the hard work clearing and unloading this container
  • Overall transit time: 113 days

07/02/10 Container # INKU2378368
  • 07/02/10 - Delivered to railroad for transport to the port
  • 535 Packages - 43 Shippers - 33 Recipients
  • Expected Route:  Savannah/Algeciras/Monrovia
  • 07/09/10 - Departed Savannah
  • 07/22/10 - Arrived Algeciras,Spain
  • 07/28/10 - Departed Algeciras Spain
  • 08/06/10 - Still on schedule
  • 08/10/10 - Container has arrived in Monrovia - the clearing process was started on
the day the container left our dock, and we are told the process is going very
smoothly - we are not expecting any large delays and the container should be
    released very soon
  • 8/21/10 - STS has received and paid the duty and clearing fees - container should
    be released soon
  • 09/09/10 - Unloaded and Distributed
  • Overall transit time:  69 days

03/04/10 Container # INKU2244158
  • 03/04/10 - Delivered to railroad for transport to the port
  • Expected Route:  Savannah/Spain/Monrovia
  • 03/26/10 - Arrived Spain
  • 04/18/10 - Arrived Monrovia
  • 05/26/10 - Should be released any day.  The Minister of Finance has given us the
duty payment required and STS has paid all duty and clearing fees.  STS was also
required to pay storage fees to the port of $1,341.50.  It is very frustrating to be
charged storage fees when we are trying as hard as we can to have the container
    released.
  • 06/11/10 - The container has finally been loaded on to a chassis and our hope is
that it will be cleared and unloaded on 6/12.  The port's equipment to load containers
has been broken down.  The port was finally able to obtain another loader to load
containers.  This container made great time reaching Monrovia, but has sat in the
port for nearly 2 months - very frustrating for everyone
  • involved
  • 06/12/10 - Unloaded and Distributed - Thank you Lord and Thank you Robert!
  • Overall transit time:  100 days

12/16/09 Container # INKU2366855
  • 12/09/09 - Container is full and booked for the next available vessel
  • 12/16/09 - Delivered to the railroad for transport to the port
  • Expected Route: Charleston/Germany/Spain/Monrovia
  • 01/20/09 - Bad news - STS just learned that this container was pulled at the US port
for a random customs inspection - this caused enough delay for this container to
miss the booked vessel and had to wait for the next vessel - this will move the ETA
from 2/10 to 3/17 - STS regrets this bad news
  • 02/17/10 - Arrived Germany
  • 03/03/10 Arrived Spain
  • 03/28/10 - Arrived Monrovia
  • 04/20/10 - Unloaded and Distributed
  • Overall transit time: 125 days - this container was by far the slowest in STS history -
this container was delayed everywhere it stopped

9/22/2009 Container # INKU2789965
  • 09/03/09 - Full
  • 09/22/09 Departed from STS
  • 10/12/09  Arrived in Spain
  • 11/29/09 Unloaded and distributed
  • Overall transit time:  68 days

7/22/2009 Container # INKU2790143
  • 07/22/09 Departed STS
  • Route:  Nashville/Savannah/Tangier/Monrovia
  • 07/29/09 Sailed from Savannah
  • 08/08/09 Arrived Tangier
  • 09/06/09 Arrived Monrovia
  • 09/22/09 STS-L is working as hard as they can to have this container cleared and
released - we apologize for the delay
  • 10/07/09 - STS-L has had to reapply for its NGO and duty-free statuses  The new
application was quite extensive.  It was discovered that there were some unpaid
property taxes on STS-L property, but the taxes were unpaid by the prior owner.  To
save time, rather than fight, STS paid the previous owner's taxes.  STS has now
received it's NGO status and is now awaiting the final
  • approval of our duty-free status. One reason for the delay is because STS-L does
not pay bribes.  In a culture where bribes are customary, our applications often get
pushed back behind the bribe paying applications.  Please join us in prayer that the
Duty-Free status will be issued promptly and this container will finally be released.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
  • 10/14/09  STS-L has renewed its duty-free status and cleared the container.  We will
pay the duty and our storage charges tomorrow, and the container should be out
within days now.  STS had to pay over $1000 to the port for storage so we have
shared in the pain of this delay.  We regret that this process took so long.  We
appreciate everyone's prayers and patience during this time.  Robert Cuppah will be
contacting each recipient very soon with the location and time of the unloading.
  • 10/15/09  Correction:  STS paid $1900 in storage fees!!  There must be some cargo
on board this container that will greatly grow the Kingdom because Satan sure didn't
    want the thing there!
  • 10/20/09 Unloaded and Distributed FINALLY! Thank you Lord!
